PRAY BY WIRE hunts for photos and pics taken from real life that illustrate this curious (see below), and at the same time widespread, relationship. The images can be personal interpretations of this phenomenon or straightforward documentary. They can be ironic or they can just portray objects and memorabilia. The content is up to you, but please remember that we will only accept photos, so no computer art please.

With this project Rensselaer declares the necessity of creating new grounds for culture and society in conjunction with research, technology and education. EMPAC will provide a platform where the vectors of research can meet the circles of reflection and artistic creation.
(1) Curator, Time Based Arts with Technology: Performing Arts, Video/Film, Installation Responsibilities: The EMPAC Curator develops implements and manages EMPAC specific programs for artists residencies, events, performances, installations, and symposia in collaboration with the EMPAC Director. This position will curate, produce, supervise and manage performances and projects in cooperation with the EMPAC Director; develops and implements funding strategies, public relations activities, and contractual and financial aspects of specific projects in coordination with director and administrative staff.

The mini-theme is PROPAGANDA: "Media does not cover news. Media creates news. Given the constraints of mainstream media, how do we interpret world events? How do we combat institutional propaganda? Submission format : New! Content for this Squealer will be chosen through the Squealer Committee's commissioning of work and selection of work from pitches, as well as from an open call. Loisaida Cortos Latino (Out-Door) Film Festival is looking for films.
